TERMINAL DISTRIBUTORS

Terminal or socket distributors are used as sub-distributors with device plugs for fast-changing one-day construction sites / storeys. With an accredited interim meter, they are also suitable for secondary measurement in the context of sub-contractor billing.

Terminal distributors are compact and mobile. They are connected via an earthed or CEE equipment plug to a connection distributor, distributor or terminal distributor and distribute the energy to hand-operated electrical equipment with upstream safety devices.

technical equipment

  • Housing made from electrolytically galvanised sheet steel
  • With single door, spring drop bar for padlock and handle recess
  • Underframes full bath hot-dip galvanised, with welded struts and eyelets for ground nails
  • Labyrinth forced ventilation to protect against condensation water
  • Swivel crane eyelets and lateral carrying handles
  • Heavy metal-free plastic paint - RAL 2004 - pure orange or as per the RAL colour chart
  • Connected load from 3.7 to 44 kVA (16 A to 63 A in-feed through plug)
  • Special distributors and designs are available for non-standard requirements

MI-RCD

Just like for electric vehicles, it is a good idea to use an RCD with DC residual current detection for mobile power distributors that are connected via device plugs in order to detect and switch off any DC currents greater than 6 mA.

These DC residual currents can pre-magnetise any upstream type A RCD, preventing it from tripping in the event of an AC residual current. This represents a major danger.
