History of F. Walther Electrics Ltd (UK)

During 1982, WALTHER-WERKE expanded its operations into the UK, as the call from its UK customers demanded that products were available for distribution from within the UK, to ensure a quick delivery.

From this base the company rapidly expanded, selling its range of products to both Oem customers and Electrical Wholesalers.

Due to pressure for warehousing space, to accommodate and maintain the excellent service levels to its customers were continued, the company relocated a few miles further away, to its current location on the Cromwell Road Trading Estate in Stockport.

From this unit the company services its customers, both with new and existing products and a Trade counter, as well as distributing and marketing the company´s products.

Company presentation

Comprehensive industry solutions

At the heart of WALTHER-WERKE's strategic orientation are comprehensive systems in selected areas of application. With our unique product portfolio comprising transformer stations, power distributors, socket combinations and plug systems, we connect electrical consumers with the power supply network in the construction, leisure, industry and mobility sectors.

With over 100 years of experience in power distribution, strong customer focus and high-quality solutions, we aim to deliver maximum benefit to our partners.

History

WALTHER-WERKE has over 120 years of experience and is the expert in low-voltage distribution. Since it was founded in 1897, the company has demonstrated time and time again its ability to offer products and solutions to match current and future needs.

So it is no coincidence that key innovations such as the construction site power distributor in the 1940s and the CEE-type connector in the 1960s are inventions from WALTHER-WERKE.

Quality

Integrated management systems ensure customer-focused processes. At WALTHER-WERKE, quality management means much more than mere product quality in the form of value and reliability. For us, it is a comprehensive management approach and pervades everything that the company does.

Skills and commitment

WALTHER-WERKE is traditionally associated with an exceptionally high level of vertical integration. As a result, virtually all of its key components are produced at its German production facilities. This means that we are able to guarantee our customers maximum flexibility, quality and most importantly technological expertise.

Components that we do not produce in-house are procured exclusively from renowned, quality manufacturers with whom we have long-established partnerships. This is because these components ultimately end up in our products - and so we bear the responsibility for our customers' satisfaction.

WALTHER-WERKE is also an honorary member of various associations, shouldering responsibility on national and international standardisation committees. This allows us not only to contribute our extensive knowledge of products and systems to the standardisation process, but also means we are always able to offer our customers the very latest information.

Locations

Tailor-made solutions only become possible through close communication with our customers. A dense global sales network comprising four of own subsidiaries and 60 international representatives on every continent highlights our drive to satisfy our customers' wishes through skills and a local market presence.

We are not interested in short-term successes. Instead, we seek long-term, ongoing partnerships that are an essential part of the added value creation process within our strategic orientation.
