Pioneers of electromobility

WALTHER-WERKE has played a pioneering role in the subject of electromobility from the very beginning, collaborating with national and international standardisation committees and constantly working hard to develop its organisation, skills and products.

The future of electromobility depends crucially on the charging infrastructure and the optimum interaction between components and systems. Because before electric cars or e-bikes can move, they need to be charged. Charging should be easy and convenient and bring as many benefits as possible to operators and user groups.

Charging solutions for electric vehicles

WALTHER-WERKE offers the most extensive range of electromobility products on the market. Charging solutions for the public, semi-public and private sectors for all current and future electric vehicles. Any multi-storey car park or corporate parking area can be equipped with our charging stations, as can private garages, with a modern wall box. Our product range covers the entire charging spectrum, from cables right up to the charging infrastructure and its accessories. All products satisfy the latest norms and standards. The modular equipment design offers maximum flexibility.

Operation and identification

User identification is the basic requirement for consumption settlement, charging prioritisation, access limitation or release of the charging socket. At WALTHER-WERKE, you will find a whole range of technical solutions for identification and easy operation.

Intelligent load management

The feed-in power is optimally supplied as charging energy through scalable charging infrastructure systems via a connection to a local energy management system (LEM) and WALTHER-WERKE power distributors. Modern settlement systems are designed individually for user groups and can be operated using intuitive touch-screen interactions to StromTicket, Ladenetz and Hubject etc. systems. RFID media are ideal for fleet vehicles for identifying and activating charging points. Intelligent monitoring enables switching functions and access to integrated RFID use.

Standardisation

WALTHER-WERKE is one of the pioneers of electromobility and has championed the subject of electromobility from the very beginning, working with national and international standardisation committees and constantly working hard to develop its organisation, skills and products.

Through research and development partnerships with automotive manufacturers, test routes in different climatic zones were equipped, at an early stage, with WALTHER-WERKE charging infrastructure solutions. Back in 2010, WALTHER-WERKE developed a comprehensive validation program for charging cables to ensure maximum safety and sturdiness. These exceed the requirements of IEC 62196-2, IEC 60352-2 and USCAR 21 and comply with the highest automotive standards to ISO/TS 16949.
